There are lines all over the country for the Apple iPhone 4 launch today at midnight, and we think there’s more than a thousand people waiting in line. It’s insane. The massive crowd contains celebrities, local media and press, Apple fanboys, and all kinds of people you can think of, and I need to tell you that it’s maybe the biggest and craziest iPhone 4 launch party on Earth. Yeah, we decided to go to the biggest party in town, at ifc mall, organized by Smartone Vodafone.

The party is a show, and since Smartone Vodafone had an overwhelming response from customers registering for the new iPhone 4, they decided to throw a special iPhone 4 Midnight Launch Party at ifc Mall before the phone becomes generally available at the morning. However, the party is not opened to the public. Up to 2,000 invitees drawn by a computer-generated random selection will be allowed to purchase and sign up for the iPhone 4, right on the spot. And, I’m not invited…

Just only for invited customers, no walk-in, boo-boo …

There’s a total of three local carriers battling for the launch through the midnight. One of them had invited lots of celebrities to promote the launch, and there are even some major retail stores staying open late to snatch more customers.
