The Nuu Mini Key protects your iPhone (with all that bulk, it’s no surprise) but most of all puts a sliding right below the device. As Engadget reports, however, they tested a prototype over at IFA 2010 and they found the keys hard to press. Also, the device connects via Bluetooth and doesn’t include a battery pack – a feature you would expect from such a case.Take a look at the picture below. The Mini Key will be available by the end of this year at $60. More photos at Engadget. [ via MacStories ]

iPhone Marco Lens

The basic instructions are dead simple: salvage the lens of a cheap disposable camera and attach it to a wire brace. The genius behind this contraption is its reusable. Unlike just taping the salvage macro lens, this one’s for keeps. So if you’re game for a little iPhone camera upgrade, take a load of this: Go buy/borrow a disposable camera that should be dirt cheap by now. Get the lens. If you don’t have these materials readily available, invest in wire and a pair of pliers. Mold the wire into the desired shape. Or if you’re confused, go here for the dope on this ...

While it's far from the most practical of ideas, people just can't seem to stop trying to make their iPhones more SLR-like. Joining that illustrious group is one Aniebres who, typos aside, has built one of the most impressive contraptions to date. We're still waiting to see what the end results look like, but the hardware side of things looks to be surprisingly solid, with the iPhone 4 slotting in with a satisfying click, while the entire lens mechanism has been shifted over to line up with the iPhone's camera (and make room for an Apple sticker). This Isn't just Any Old Ironic Misuse of a Cassette Tape, Now...

Forever overlooked by ironic iPhone coverings, the humble plastic cassette case gets a look-in on the action along with the cassette, where it acts as a stand for watching videos. A much more worthy job than just encasing the iPhone. Apparently the Tuned Up case and stand fits the last few models of iPhone, but it hasn't yet gone on sale at Fred & Friends, where it will be stocked exclusively in black and white colorways. If you buy this case when it goes on sale, please do me a favor and spend an extra $1 on My Jam app. You won't ...
