There's a reason Sony wants so badly to block jailbreak device's access: now that the code for the things is out there, people were using everything from mobile phones to calculators to get at their PlayStation 3s. In these videos, you'll see variants of the PSGroove being run on the Nokia N900, a Palm Pre and, most awesome of all, a TI-84 Plus calculator. Whether you're pro or against the use of devices like this, you have to admit, it's pretty neat seeing someone crack the armour of a PS3 with a calculator. Update: Sony patches Jailbreak! A another mandatory PS3 firmware update ...

Treyarch has revealed the first details on the multiplayer modes for Call of Duty: Black Ops, including a series of "adrenaline junkie" game modes it's calling "Wager Matches." These four free-for-all game modes have players wagering their in-game currency, called "COD Points," gambling that they will come in within the top three in any given match. Players who are in that top three are said to be "in the money," and will get paid out at the match's end; those who aren't will lose it all. The "One In The Chamber" mode starts every player with a single pistol and one ...

It's not the full-on demo you're probably hoping for, but Sony devoted a section of its sprawling, city-within-a-city of a booth at IFA 2010 to diving into some of the capabilities its Google TV-enabled televisions will be offering when they launch in the US before the end of the year. The two-plus minute video loop runs through web search, Google Maps (which looks pretty awesome, we have to admit), YouTube and Picasa functionality, app favorites, and picture-in-picture, which means you don't have to miss those first few precious minutes of Iron Chef America while you look up desserts that ...

Alex, global PR for Mad Catz, is PR incarnate. The man is brilliant to interview with more energy and enthusiasm than you can shake a stick at. Once I saw him at the Mad Catz booth here at PAX Prime, I knew we needed to do another interview. Alex takes some time to tell us all about the new limited edition Call of Duty: Black Ops TRITTON headsets with a run down of everything from pricing to specifications while Alex and I do our very best hostess impressions complete with 'Oos' and 'ahhhs'. This is the first time Mad Catz has shown ...

An exclusive debut trailer of "Dungeon Siege III". The game is announced to be released on 2011 but does not hat have a release date. As for the video's content, we're compelled to relay that it looks awfully JRPG-influenced to us, in addition to being extremely lush and heavy on the flowing bits of fabric on characters' costumes. Other than that, well, have you seen Torchlight or Diablo If the answer's "yes," you've got a good idea of what to expect. [ via Joystiq [PlayStation] ]
