Earlier today Sony announced the release of three new home audio products: the HT-CT350 and HT-CT150 3.1 sound bars, as well as the HT-SF470 5.1 surround sound system. All the new models feature 3D pass-through and standby pass-through for audio and video devices connected via HDMI. As with many Sony products, these new systems are designed to integrate with Sony’s BRAVIA televisions and Blu-ray players.
The HT-CT150 is a 340 watt sound bar that comes with a bracket that attaches to Sony’s 2010 32-inch BRAVIA HDTVs. The HT-CT350 is a similar 400 watt system designed to match 40-inch or larger TVs. ...

We’ve given you the first plot details and pictures on Friday, but now the first trailer for Resident Evil: Afterlife (aka Resident Evil 4) is online. The movie will hit American theaters (both 3D and conventional) on September 10.

Just got my Loreo Pixi 3D viewer with which to view those element detail shots in Theodore Gray's The Elements for iPad in 3D. Verdict: takes a little getting used to, for my eyes anyway, but after a minute of perceptual adjustment it quickly turned into HOLYCRAPTHISISSOAWESOME. You know what America (heck, the world, but especially America) needs to combat anti-science sentiment, and the dumbing down of our kids? Elegant presentations of science. Interactive digital reference book/game/search/apps like this, that make learning tantalizing. Imagine if you'd first been exposed to the periodic table of elements like this as a kid! ...

What with the leaks and every pre-review worth its salt using Real Racing to show off some iPad gaming, it’s hardly a secret that Firemint is going all in on Apple’s new platform, and they’re bringing Flight Control along for the ride — in 3D!
Real Racing HD [$9.99 - iTunes link] is just what you’d expect, accelerometer driven, OpenGL fueled racing on that big 1024×768 iPad screen and it looks glorious. All the graphics have been upscaled and you can skin cars with images from Photo Album for even more fun. You can also export, edit, and even get skins ...

After today’s announcement of the 3D successor of the Nintendo DS, many are wondering if Sony, a staunch supporter of 3D, would follow suit and bring the tech to the PSP or its successor. However, despite Sony’s 3D push, it seems 3D wont be making its way onto the PSP anytime soon.
Analysts chimed in today after the announcement of the Nintendo 3DS, claiming that they fully expect Sony to announce a new PSP this Spring, in an attempt to counter Nintendo’s next entry into the handheld market. A market Nintendo has dominated since it released the Game Boy back in ...

In the interviews given to promote Avatar, which opens in theaters today, James Cameron has already given a few tips on the Blu-ray of his latest movie epic. The filmmaker said that the BD will include over ten minutes of deleted scenes, and also that the initial Blu-ray release of 'Avatar' "probably won't be in 3-D", and there will be another edition with 3-D support in late 2010.
Cameron told MTV that the discarded footage gave added background on the native Na'vi people of Pandora. "It's all wonderful stuff, but it was sort of bogging down the middle section of the ...
