Apparently devoid of geriatric spy guys, Metal Gear Solid: Rising sees the once-loathed Raiden liberating glowing cyber-spines from felled foes. And that's cool and all, but did you know that you can cut a guy in half while you're cutting him in half? No worry, MGS: Rising will be available on PlayStation 3 platform too. - Quoted from Joystiq [PlayStation] -

Announced at GDC in 2009, OnLive takes the concept of cloud computing to the next level in providing high-end video games running at HD resolution streamed in realtime over the internet playable on any device capable of running the OnLive client connected to an internet connection with a downstream of at least 5 megabit. Following its announcement, speculation ran wild regarding whether or not this sort of remote technology could even possibly exist and provide the same lag-free experience as a home console. OnLive had an impressive presence at E3 this year, with playable clients running on the OnLive set-top box, ...

The more I see of LittleBigPlanet 2, the more I want it. Alex Evans of LBP developer Media Molecule presented some footage from the game at Sony's E3 press conference yesterday, and the most impressive part for me was the segment that showed off levels that had been created in only a 24-hour time period. As we saw with the two-million-plus levels from the original LittleBigPlanet, there are some tremendously creative and skilled people out there, and I bet they can't wait to put their talents to use in LittleBigPlanet 2. Sony has sent out nine screenshots from the sequel; they show off ...

EyePet may have been delayed a year for its North American debut, but it's become a far more advanced game since its original release (at least technically). High tech families equipped with a super-fancy 3DTV will not only play the game with the Move motion controller, but with newly added 3D support as well. Here's the EyePet Demo during E3 via Gamespots: Whereas implementing support for Sony's motion controller added about nine months of development time to London Studios' pet simulator, 3D took about a month to implement. Unlike many other games, very little detail has been sacrificed to produce the 3D ...

Konami has just shared details on the brand new, Vatra Games-developed Silent Hill game for Playstation 3 and Xbox 360 coming next year in 2011. Apparently it will have an escaped prisoner finding the town of Silent Hill, which is a little surprising. Haven't they closed the doors and locked the locks on that place yet? Every other year, it's somebody wandering in there to be chased down by evil nurses or pyramid heads, or whatever else they've come up with. The game will have a brand new composer, Dan Licht, known for his work on the television show Dexter. He's ...

Even if Sony didn't have the most amazing E3 press conference this year, it did contain the single best moment at a press conference this year. This is that moment. He might just be an actor, but he's our actor. Technically I guess he is Sony's actor, but I'm sure we can work out some sort of time share arrangement. And yes, this was likely written for Kevin, or with Kevin's collaboration, but that doesn't make the message any less poignant. A gigantic television in a tiny apartment. That is gaming. - Quoted from Kotaku -

Saving you the trouble of coming all the way out to LA, IGN have published off-screen video of the Portal 2 demo Valve's currently demonstrating here at E3. The first gives you a bit of story background -- taking place as GlaDOS resurrects herself years after the events of the first game -- while the second two below the fold dig further into the new gameplay features, including the "propulsion pudding" paint-gun enhancements added when Valve employed the fresh student indie team behind Tag: The Power of Paint. The best part? As always, the hapless turrets and your merciless blanking of ...

Watching the new trailer for Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm 2 makes me wish I had kept up with it. The first Ultimate Ninja Storm looked fantastic to begin with, but the new one comes even closer to mastering the art of cel-shading, almost perfectly replicating the anime's style and at times surpassing it. Even if you're not a fan of the series, you have to appreciate how far cel-shading has come from early attempts at simulating 2D animation. Furthermore, look at those special battles they're highlighting! Sakura fighting Sasori's hundred puppets, an aerial battle between Gaara and Deidara, giant summon ...
