Ever wanted to buy a friend a drink, but couldn’t because it was 2 in the afternoon and you were at work? Or because they’re half-way across the USA? Or because you’re so slammed you lost your wallet 3 bars ago? Well, now you can Bartab them a drink coupon. Bartab is a new iPhone and Web that lets you buy friends/girls/randoms-you’ve-never-met a drink. With Bartab, the first app from Webtab, you pay $1 and send a friend a virtual coupon for a drink. Like I said, Flickpad 2.0 allows you to check out Facebook and Flickr photos. Just log in with your accounts (in this case, Flickpad has the best Flickr authentication system I’ve seen so far in any mobile app) and you’re ready to go. The concept behind the app is simple and beautifully realized: you view photos as thumbnails on a desk and you can flick them off to load other photos. You can check out the photos of today, this week, or a specific day. You can merge Flickr and Facebook photos in a single desk visualization or, with a ...

First, Spotify is getting social: you can now link your Spotify account to your Facebook profile, share playlists and tracks with your friends, see which songs are the most shared and liked.  I don’t know how much I’ll use this, but no doubt it was the right thing to do. Also, the interface for this looks very well realized and simple to use. The big news is that Spotify can now import your local iTunes Library, thus making this service the first and most important competitor to Apple’s music player and alleged future streaming platform. Well, it’s not that Spotify can ...

This is good news, one of those you’d want to wake up in the morning with.  We’ve just found out that Facebook videos (the Facebook ones, those who used to be played in Flash. Youtube videos were already supported) are now iPad compatible, as you can watch them from your new magical device using HTML5.It seems like this applies for new and recent videos, as some of them still give me a “You need Adobe Flash installed” error. Anyway, it’s good to see websites are slowly adopting new standards and “getting rid of the crappy stuff”. - Quoted from MacStories - (Source: ...

Search and Share

You can now browse the App Store directly from within Facebook via Apple’s newest Facebook application. Virtue has partnered with Apple to create this page hot on the heels of their other Facebook page for iTunes. There are a few tabs to chose from; the proverbial Wall and Info, but then it starts to get interesting. You have a Featured tab that shows you the week’s spotlighted applications. A Games tab lets you filter by any game genre. Search and Share, of course, lets you search for any app. Once you find the application you are looking for, you can launch ...
