The third announcement of a 160GB PS3 is the most meaningful one yet, because this time it's officially from Sony. The company announced the new hardware configuration at its Gamescom presentation, along with a new 320GB configuration! The 160GB model will arrive in Europe in October, for 299 Euros, according to our man on the ground at Gamescom. It will replace the 120GB model as the standard. Limber up, dancers -- Konami has announced today that DanceDanceRevolution is finally making its debut on the PlayStation 3 this fall. Surely you’ll want to be stomping around on the classic DDR mat, and you can do that with this new PlayStation 3 version, of course. It may not have gotten the same attention as the original echochrome did at E3 2007, but the sequel looks like one of the more promising games coming to the PlayStation Move, Sony's new motion controller. Similar to WiiWare game Lost In Shadow, echochrome ii puts an emphasis on solving puzzles with light and shadow gameplay. Using the PlayStation Move controller as a flashlight, players cast their beam onto the playfield to expose hidden paths and exits. The SingStar team must be used to sore throats at the end of E3 and this year they can expect weary limbs and achy wrists as well after three days demonstrating SingStar Dance and SingStar Guitar. They are the two new disc based SingStar titles coming out towards the end of the year. SingStar Dance allows two people to dance along using the PlayStation Move motion controller in addition to two singers.
