PSN Go is an app designed to let you browse and control your PlayStation Network account (the account that you set up when you've got a PS3 connected to the Internet). It's unofficial (not created by Sony) and made by a third party, but you can log in with a PSN name and password and browse through your friend lists, gamer profile, trophy lists, and other PSN information. Unfortunately, unlike most of the other "account browser" apps that we've seen, this one is priced a little higher than free -- it's US $1.99. While that's still not a lot, it is ...

Sony recently unveiled the first footage for the PSN exclusive zombie acopalypse shooter, Dead Nation. The game’s setting follows a virus outbreak having infected everything and everyone, so that only a few survivors are left amidst a horde of zombies, in a setting that recalls that of the Xbox exclusive Left 4 Dead’s. The action will be top down, and the game certainly looks to be fast paced, and heavy on the explosions. Dead Nation releases exclusively on the PS3 this fall. You can check out the first footage released for the game below: - Quoted from GamingBolt.com: Video Game News, ...

Sony will offer a premium subscription to the PlayStation Network, one that doesn't replace the current free service but does offer "an enhanced experience," with additional content, early demo access and more. It will cost $49.99 a year. Jack Tretton announced the plans for the premium service at Sony's E3 news conference. Subscribers may also choose a $17.99-per-3 months pricing plan. PlayStation Plus subscribers also would get "hundreds of dollars" in free content and discounts on certain items within the PlayStation Store. Numerous PSN users have been reporting that scammers have infiltrated the Playstation Network and are stealing users account details. A number of chain emails containing URL’s to Playstation Network code generators may possibly have manifested themselves as virus attachments, but there is no easy way to tell. Some users have reportedly been charged over $300 for PSN content they did not purchase after opening chain emails. It is currently unknown as to how PSN details, including credit card information could be obtained over the Playstation Network simply by opening an email, but Sony are investigating. There have been a large number of these ...

(Aggregated from Joystiq [PlayStation]) The bewildering movie-to-game adaptation of Kick-Ass has been re-dated and priced. Now scheduled for a worldwide April 29 release, the beat-'em-up will cost $14.99 on PSN. Presumably, the iPhone version will cost a bit less than that. In addition to Facebook connectivity, the PS3 version of Kick-Ass will feature couch co-op play, bonus levels, arena mode, extreme mode, an unlockable comic, and clips from the movie. However, all the fluff in the world isn't going to make up for quality gameplay (or lack thereof). Let's see if Kick-Ass can deliver. (Aggregated from Joystiq [PlayStation])

Remakes, or reboots, of game titles are becoming more and more common as gaming console’s technical prowess is increased with each new generation. This allows developers to realize their past creations with much more detail, scale and polish. Just ask Capcom, who just recently published a remake of the well-known Bionic Commando. Now following in their footsteps, Konami is set to remake a classic 1980s video game as well. Rush’n Attack: Ex-Patriot, is currently in development at Czech studio Vatra Games, the new studio working on the latest Silent Hill title. The PSN title is a remake of the 1985 classic, ...

Here's a neat little game that's come from nowhere! Sony has just revealed that Freekscape: Escape From Hell is hitting the PlayStation Network this week, and it looks really cool for a mere $4.99! Freekscape is a cartoony platform game about a demon who finds a magical trident and, as the subtitle suggests, uses it in an attempt to escape from Hell. The trident allows Freek the demon to transform monsters into useful tools such as a pogo stick or cutting machines. The monsters' transformations will depend on the type of creature they are.  Freekscape looks like one of a handful of ...
