An exclusive debut trailer of "Dungeon Siege III". The game is announced to be released on 2011 but does not hat have a release date. As for the video's content, we're compelled to relay that it looks awfully JRPG-influenced to us, in addition to being extremely lush and heavy on the flowing bits of fabric on characters' costumes. Other than that, well, have you seen Torchlight or Diablo If the answer's "yes," you've got a good idea of what to expect. [ via Joystiq [PlayStation] ]

Surcease? You used the word surcease? Square Enix, we know you've a penchant for flowery words, but this is 2010, not 1710. Aside from that, everything else in this epic Final Fantasy XIV trailer looks good, as there's plenty of gorgeous cinematic stuff to go with some actual gameplay footage. Meanwhile, Square Enix has also revealed the open beta date for the PC version of the game, which kicks off early on September 1 for Europeans, or late on August 31 if you're in the US. Finally, last night Apple approved the “HD” version of Chaos Rings which comes to the tablet with a bigger resolution, a higher price and…that’s it. No new features, no additional stuff – it’s just a bigger version. But still, it’s Chaos Rings. As for the game itself:“The story revolves around a tournament where combatants fight for their lives: the Ark Arena. Upon choosing a pair of characters, one male and one female, you will then have to fight against the other pairs. Each pair has their own story, and the truth behind the Ark Arena will not be revealed until each ...

Metal Gear Solid Peace Walker's Toys, By Square Enix

The Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker figures from Square Enix (who, yes, also make toys) that we first spied earlier this year are now available for preorder. They are both detailed and expensive. There are four figures available: Snake, and three Metal Gears from the game (Pupa, Chrysalis & Basilis). Snake stands a decent 26cm tall, but the Metal Gears run a little smaller. Prices also vary, Snake and Pupa running around USD$50-60, while Chrysalis & Basilis will will set you back around USD$70. They'll all go on sale in September. - Quoted from Kotaku - (Source: Kotaku) Please follow @chrisdata on Twitter!

Ostensibly, this trailer is intended to introduce the traveling companions accompanying the title character of Square Enix's Nier. But, to us, it reveals just how sensitive Nier himself is. He isn't just good for glowering, yelling about his daughter, and fighting, as this trailer reveals. He is also willing to provide words of encouragement to his ally, Kaine -- who returns the favor elsewhere in the trailer by totally kicking Nier in the face to save him from a giant creature. Nier even offers sympathy to a weird-looking monster guy who is having a crisis of conscience after a battle. ...

(Source: TouchArcade ) Last month news broke that video game giant Square Enix was bringing a brand new RPG exclusively to the iPhone, and that it was being developed by a team whose combined resumé consisted of work in both the Wild Arms and Final Fantasy series. Needless to say, expectations skyrocketed with such an announcement, and to top it off this ambitious project is based on an entirely new, unproven IP. Now that Chaos Rings [App Store] is finally available, does it actually deliver? After putting the game through its paces, I can safely say it stands ...

Chaos Rings: Square Enix iPhone RPG revealed, looks nice screenshot

Not to long ago we told you that we heard that Square Enix was working on a role-playing game with Wild Arms developer Media Vision for the iPhone. All of those words (except maybe "iPhone") make my ears perk up, so I've been waiting for a full reveal. Now we have one: the game is called Chaos Rings, and it's coming this year. Here's the story: Five pairs of warriors are forced to participate in a tournament where they will fight to the death. You'll play through multiple scenarios focused on each  pair, and only by clearing each scenario will ...
